Ernesto Illy cup of friendship and the twin plate as they called it. Ernesto was born in Trieste on July 18, 1925, and is the son of Francesco, founder of Illy Café. He graduated in chemistry from the University of Bologna in 1947, and in 1957 he became a partner in the ownership of the company and its director. He held the position of president, then honorary president, from 1963 to 2005 until his death on February 3, 2008. The plates bear the logo of the Ernesto Illy Foundation for charitable work and support of the coffee sector and many more, designed with the logo of the Ernesto Illy Foundation (Golden Decor Foundation). Signed and numbered in a very limited edition with a preservation box.
